Projects

Leo's PR #1891 for LRX-37461, fixing the sale_total calculation precision mismatch with MySQL, got my approval today. After yesterday's conversation about three-decimal currencies, we decided against adding that support for now, which is the right call to make deliberately rather than discover accidentally in production. Zhijie's PR #15472 for deprecating @import with a stylelint rule in business-components is in review. I ran the SCSS migration tool against the repo and have been digging into edge cases around how Lightspeed modules are affected by the deprecation. Import migrations tend to look mechanical until you hit a module that relies on a load order quirk, so the research is worth doing carefully before we wave this through.

The summary filter context i18n interpolation issue is proving stubborn. I have confirmed it is reproducible in both dev and prod environments behind the feature flag, which at least rules out a local environment problem. The investigation is going deeper into the code today. Roberto also flagged LRX-36444, a research ticket around sales being created as pending without attributes. I want to take a first pass at the monolith today if time allows, even a cursory look often surfaces enough to know whether the root cause is shallow or worth a dedicated session.

External Requests

Following up on LRX-34877, multiple terms on receipts not translating to French. My earlier work on the payments screen in webregister resolved part of this issue, and I am keeping an eye on the ticket to see if more translation coverage is needed. Translation bugs in retail POS are the kind of thing that affects real cashiers on real shifts, so if there is more to fix I want to be in the loop.

Team

Peer feedback is due and I owe reviews for Christine, Youssef, Insaf, Dania, and Wasif. Christine's is on the list for today, and the rest need to be wrapped up by tomorrow.
